Almost the End of October

Wow, I have not posted in October yet!

First up, the Potluck this month was again excellent! Considering we had to compete that day with the return of the Winnipeg Jets to the NHL, we still had a great turnout! We also had some new people come out and this time we screened a couple short films, which is always fun!

The next thing: the "Hell Of Silence" Art/ Film Exhibit which opened yesterday and will happen all weekend. It was an excellent turnout. My job was to gather up experimental short films with the theme "Hell Of Silence" and premiere them. It went smoothly but I learned people can only sit through so much "experimental" short films. 
There was also a puppet master putting on a show too. Dan Walechuk gave an excellent performance and you really should check out more of his work! Check out his website! --> DanWalechuk.com

Our film "JINX" has officially been accepted in the 2011 Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival! 
It will be an exciting event! It will be my second time attending the festival but more importantly, it will be Chaz's first real film festival!

Ok, final thing. I found out last week that myself and my teammates from my old ball hockey team, Weetamah Challenge, have all been put on the Weetamah Ball Hockey Wall Of Fame! 
I no longer play ball hockey so it was cool to see our names up there! Infamy! Haha. :p
