This past week, I re-edited a film sequence I shot last year and submitted it into the 90 Second Quickie film showcase held by the Winnipeg Film Group. Check it out at the bottom.

I would also like to congratulate my filmmaker friend, Chris G, on having Venus Spa become the #1 watched Web Series in Canada! Quite an accomplishment for an indy filmmaker, especially in Winnipeg!

In other news, "JINX" is finally finished! We will be having a screening for the cast and crew at the end of August! Stay Tuned!

I'll admit, I have been rather ill the past few weeks. Thus, I have not had much energy to write or post anything. I mean, I've coughed and hacked every night for most of the past 2 weeks, averaging 3-4 hours of sleep per night/ day...... But I had just realized that Canada had come and gone and it's now been over a month since I've posted on my site here. (I have been tweeting and retweeting though, so I've been 'sorta active'.)

Anyway, In case you haven't heard, the Winnipeg Jet's are now official. I look forward to not getting a single ticket to a game all next season! But maybe if I hang around outside the MTS and look forlorn, someone will throw me a ticket....  :p    We'll see.

Next up, I am still working on tweaking my short film script. I will be in the hunt to find a capable producer to help me out. I will also start finding brilliant people to surround myself with so things will go a little easier. I've mentally set the date to shoot for the September Long Weekend. Cross your fingers....or mine.    O_o

My friend Chris, of 'Chad Media', has wrapped on his popular web series 'Venus Spa'. I was hoping to help out but soon got rather sick a few days before filming was to happen. I didn't want to get anyone sick on his set, so I called him and explained. I did show up on set one day though to help figure out an equipment problem and all was well. The set looked excellent and the ladies looked amazing, as usual.

There is a "90 second Film Challenge" coming up soon and I am debating if I should put something together. I have an idea for a quick video but would I be up to the challenge as my energy levels still feel very sapped?? I am still behind on 2 projects I was to have done months ago....argh!

(I tell you, if it's not one thing, it's another. I should start up an entire different blog and write about the challenges that have been thrown at me the past 6 months.)
